A Note from Yeshe

yesheToday I’m adding some more information to this blog, so those of you who would like to know the current situation have the latest update.  I had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction on November 19th in Duluth, MN.  I am quite blessed to have had the healthcare team I had and to have had many good thoughts and wishes sent my way.  If any of you have any information to share regarding the journey with cancer, I would be most happy to hear from you.  My belly (tissue, skin, muscle, etc.) is newly positioned to play the part of a breast.  I’m coaching the belly from the past / breast of the present and doing the best I can to instill confidence in the new positioning. I’m finding suppleness of mind, in even small amounts, to be extremely useful and beneficial now.
In regards to my mother, whom I initially came to MN to help, she will be having open heart surgery on March 12th to attend to a leaky heart valve. She can no longer live alone, so I will be trying to find another living situation for her after her recovery. Again, if anyone has information that they would like to share about taking care of elderly parents, I would very much like to know what has been helpful.yeshsam
I have set up a corner in my mother’s house to continue to paint. I will be sending blog updates, both in terms of healthcare and new artwork.  Because I am unable to do carpentry at this point in my recovery and because I have much to do in regards to my mother’s situation, I will be selling artwork from this site to bring in needed financial assistance at this time.  If you are interested in a painting, yet aren’t quite sure about it, simply have us send it to you and check it out with a more intimate look.  Further consideration is sometimes a very good thing.
I thank you for taking the time to look at this blog.  May you find delight in the darndest things.  I’m sending a hug and a kiss to each one of you.

Kiitos ja kiitos.

Yeshe’s benefit blog

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit Yeshe’s benefit blog!  The images under the “Art for Sale” link are all works of art by artist Yeshe Linda Helander that are for sale at greatly reduced prices as an online benefit/fundraiser.  Yeshe needs to raise money to assist both her elderly mother (who needs heart surgery), and herself (with cancer) in this time of health and financial crisis.

Here are a couple of photos of the art on the walls at Perry Framing in Duluth, Minnesota, where she had a silent auction benefit for her mother:
